Trump says Pierre Yared steps down as White House economic adviser chief See what his return to Columbia could mean for future policy moves
President Donald Trump said Pierre Yared is stepping down as acting chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers. Trump said in a Truth Social post on Tuesday that Yared will return to Columbia Graduate School, where he has been a professor.
Yared has held the acting chairman role since September. Trump praised Yared and the CEA team for their work on domestic and international economic policy and thanked him for his service.
It was not immediately clear who will replace Yared. The council’s website still listed him as acting chairman at the time of the report.
