Vancouver mayoral race: William Azaroff exits and backs Pete Fry to unite votes Support the progressive option as Fry gains momentum against an ABC majority
Vancouver mayoral candidate William Azaroff of OneCity has withdrawn from the race and endorsed Green Party of Vancouver candidate Pete Fry.
Azaroff said Tuesday that he heard concerns about the possibility of another Ken Sim and ABC majority on Vancouver city council and believes progressive voters should unite behind one mayoral candidate.
He said stepping aside is meant to help concentrate support behind Fry, whom he described as the single progressive option in the race.
