Meta updates AI coding model and sets pricing
Muse Spark 1.1 brings coding and agentic AI tools to developers in public preview. Compare Meta's competitive pricing and get access through the developer portal.
Meta has released Muse Spark 1.1, an updated artificial intelligence model aimed at coding and agentic tasks, as it works to narrow the gap with Anthropic and OpenAI. The company said the model is now available through a developer portal in public preview, with access rolling out over time.
Meta AI chief Alexandr Wang said the new pricing is designed to be competitive. New API accounts will receive $20 in free credits, after which Meta plans to charge $1.25 per million input tokens and $4.25 per million output tokens.
The move reflects Meta’s broader effort to turn its large AI spending into a business that can reach developers and other users. The company is also continuing work on future models, while saying it still plans to support open source in some form.
