Former MLS record signing set to leave Atlanta United
Emmanuel Latte Lath transfer exit: Atlanta United may move on after a tough MLS spell Burnley interest and striker targets could speed his departure—see what happens next
Emmanuel Latte Lath appears to be nearing an exit from Atlanta United after a difficult season and a half in MLS. The 27yearold striker was left out of Wednesday’s 22 draw with Charlotte FC while club officials discussed his future.
Atlanta’s technical director, Chris Henderson, said the club had held conversations about the forward before the match, suggesting a transfer could be imminent. Latte Lath joined Atlanta from Middlesbrough in February 2025 for a reported $22 million, then a leaguerecord fee.
Since arriving, the Ivory Coast international has scored nine goals and added three assists in 44 league appearances. Reportedly, Burnley has already made a bid, while Atlanta is also said to be exploring other forward options, including Darwin Núñez and Breel Embolo.
