The Nasdaq Composite ended Monday at a new record closing high as technology stocks led a broad market rally. The index rose 1.05% to 27,477.31, topping its previous peak from Sept. 22.
The S&P 500 also advanced 0.66% to 7,773.95, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 90.94 points, or 0.18%, to 51,267.90.
Traders appeared to focus on the strength in equities even as longerterm yields moved higher.
