Jessica De Filippo's own goal gave the Halifax Tides a 10 road win over the Vancouver Rise on Saturday in Northern Super League play in Burnaby, British Columbia.
The result ended Halifax's threematch losing streak and moved the Tides ahead of Vancouver into fourth place in the standings. Halifax now has 17 points, one more than the Rise.
Vancouver controlled more of the possession but could not find an equalizer. The match also marked the final game of Vancouver forward Mariah Lee's career after she said she would retire.
