Vesta Hot Water Heater Recalled Due to Carbon Monoxide Risk

Certain Vesta tankless water heaters recalled for carbon monoxide risks. Health Canada urges immediate cessation of use and offers free repairs.

A recall has been issued for certain models of Vesta tankless hot water heaters due to concerns about carbon monoxide poisoning. Vesta, along with Health Canada and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, announced this recall after reports of cracked exhaust ducts, which can allow harmful gases to escape indoors, posing a serious health risk. The affected models include VRS and VRP, as well as some VRSPlus and VRPPlus versions. Health Canada advises consumers to stop using these heaters immediately and contact Vesta for a free repair by a certified technician. Approximately 3,496 units sold in Canada between May 2017 and July 2025 are involved in this recall. So far, there have been no reports of injuries, but it is crucial for users to address this issue promptly to ensure safety.
