Republican lawmakers have expanded their investigation into ActBlue, asking five board members to agree to transcribed interviews and provide documents by June 16.
House Republicans say the request is part of a broader review of the Democratic fundraising platform’s handling of fraud prevention and possible foreign donations that may have flowed through the system into U.S. elections.
The inquiry is being led by the chairs of the House Administration, Oversight, and Judiciary committees. ActBlue has denied wrongdoing and has not been criminally charged, while the company’s CEO is expected to testify at a June 10 hearing.
