Apple unveils Siri AI and updates Liquid Glass at WWDC 2026

Apple used its 2026 Worldwide Developers Conference in Cupertino, California, to introduce a major update to Siri, rebranded as Siri AI, along with changes to its Liquid Glass design language and other software features. The company said Siri AI is built on Apple Intelligence and will be more conversational, better at understanding personal context, and available through a dedicated app on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Apple also said some features will not be available at launch in Europe and China because of regulatory issues. Beyond Siri, Apple announced updates to its Home app, Passwords app, search tools, and parental controls. The company also made Liquid Glass more customizable and introduced a new MacOS version called Golden Gate. Apple shares fell during the keynote after opening higher earlier in the day.
