Quebec provincial police are asking the public for help finding 41yearold Philippe Benoit in connection with the death of a 16yearold boy in Shawinigan, Que. The victim was found unconscious in a residence on Sunday morning and was later pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Sûreté du Québec. Investigators say Benoit is now considered a suspect after initially being treated as a person of interest. Police say Benoit may have a bladed weapon, but they do not believe he poses a threat to the public. Search efforts are continuing in the LacauxSables area, while authorities say he could be elsewhere in Quebec. Anyone who sees him is being told not to approach and to call 911 immediately.
