WestJet cancellations rise as strike deadline nears

WestJet has cancelled 276 flights as it moves closer to a possible strike by its flight attendants on Sunday. WestJet says it has made its best offer, while CUPE, which represents about 4,400 flight attendants, says key concerns remain unresolved. Federal mediators are still involved, and both sides say they hope to avoid a work stoppage.
