PWHL suspends Minnesota Frost's Britta Curl-Salemme for one game

PWHL suspension hits Britta Curl-Salemme after Game 1 playoff incidents Minnesota-Frost forward fined and banned for one game; see what sparked the ruling

The Professional Women's Hockey League has suspended Minnesota Frost forward Britta CurlSalemme for one game and fined her $250 US after two incidents in Game 1 of the Walter Cup playoffs against the Montreal Victoire. The league said the fine was tied to a secondperiod altercation with Victoire forward Abby Roque, while the suspension came from a separate play in which CurlSalemme received a major penalty and game misconduct for an illegal check to the head of Montreal forward Kaitlin Willoughby. Minnesota won the opening game 54 in overtime. The suspension is CurlSalemme’s first of the 202526 season, though she had been fined earlier in the year and served three onegame suspensions last season.
