Halton police seize $5M in methamphetamine and cocaine after GTA probe Project Jester uncovered record meth haul and trafficking charges in Milton

Halton regional police say they have seized an estimated $5 million worth of methamphetamine and cocaine after a monthslong drug trafficking investigation in the Greater Toronto Area. The investigation, known as Project Jester, began in March after officers stopped a vehicle heading to Quebec and arrested a 36yearold from Mississauga, police said. A second traffic stop in Brampton on May 7 led investigators to a commercial building that police allege was being used to process and package drugs. During the search, officers say they found 20 kilograms of cocaine and 273 kilograms of methamphetamine. Police described the methamphetamine haul as the largest in Halton Regional Police Service history. Two men are facing traffickingrelated charges and were held for bail hearings in Milton.
