OpenAI adds ChatGPT health records integration

ChatGPT Health feature lets eligible users connect Apple Health and medical records Use your data in any chat with privacy controls, no training use, and no diagnoses

OpenAI has introduced a Health feature in ChatGPT that lets eligible users connect Apple Health data and supported medical records from US providers. The feature is available now to loggedin users aged 18 and older on web and iOS across Free, Go, Plus, and Pro plans. Once connected, ChatGPT can use information such as medications, lab results, recent visits, sleep data, and activity logs in regular conversations. OpenAI says the change is based on early testing that showed many healthrelated questions happened outside a dedicated health area, so the tool now brings that context into any chat with user permission. The company says the feature is meant to support users, not replace medical professionals or provide diagnoses. OpenAI also says health data is excluded from model training and ad targeting, and users can manage permissions, disconnect sources, or use temporary chat if they want more privacy control.
