Vaughan murder charges: police link a targeted killing to a drug probe See what investigators found, including weapons, drugs, and two suspects still at large

Two people have been charged with firstdegree murder in connection with the death of 41yearold Deuvane Donald Francis in Vaughan, Ontario, York Regional Police said. Police said Francis was found with gunshot wounds inside a commercial unit near Langstaff Road and Jane Street on Aug. 27, 2025, but investigators later determined he had been killed the previous day. They believe the shooting was targeted. After a lengthy investigation, police arrested one suspect on Sept. 22 and a second on Sept. 23. Officers also say they recovered nine firearms, ammunition, and large quantities of cocaine, ketamine, and methamphetamine at a Niagara Region home linked to the case. At least two other suspects remain outstanding.
