Cyclist dies after downtown Montreal collision

A 65yearold cyclist has died from injuries sustained in a collision with a car in Montreal, police said Thursday.
The crash happened on the evening of July 16 at an intersection near Jos Montferrand Park in the city’s SainteMarie neighbourhood. Montreal police said the incident involved one car and two cyclists.
The second cyclist was taken to hospital with nonlifethreatening injuries. Police said the death marks the 10th fatal collision on city streets so far this year, and the investigation is continuing.
