Montreal police release suspect photos in attempted murder probe
Montreal police seek suspect in attempted murder after Rivière-des-Prairies attack Public tips and released photos could help identify the armed assault suspect
Montreal police have shared photos of a suspect wanted in an attempted murder case and are asking the public for help identifying the person.
The incident happened on May 18 in the borough of RivièredesPrairies–PointeauxTrembles. Police said they were called around 9:15 p.m. to the intersection of ÉlieBeauregard Avenue and Perras Boulevard after a report that someone had been injured with a sharp object.
When officers arrived, they found a 49yearold man conscious but hurt in his upper and lower body. He was taken to hospital. Police said the circumstances of the armed assault are still unclear.
Investigators said they released three images of the suspect, described as 6 feet to 6 feet 5 inches tall, with dark shoulderlength dreadlocks, wearing a black sweatshirt, black jogging pants and white shoes.
