A major section of Highway 40 eastbound in Montreal will be closed this weekend for asphalt work, according to Quebec’s Transport Ministry. The shutdown will run from Friday night, July 10, until Monday morning, July 13, between Exit 65 near MontrealTrudeau airport and Highway 15. Traffic will be redirected to the CôtedeLiesse service road, and several ramps and exits connecting to Highway 15, Highway 520 and Highway 40 will also be closed. Officials are warning drivers to expect significant congestion and to avoid the area if possible. The ministry said the work could be delayed, extended or cancelled if weather or operational issues arise.
