Sabrina Carpenter granted temporary restraining order after home intrusion

Sabrina Carpenter has been granted a temporary restraining order against a man accused of trying to enter her Los Angeles home without permission, according to court documents cited by CBC News. Carpenter says the man, identified as 31yearold William Applegate, trespassed onto a neighbor’s property on May 23, reached her front door, and tried to force his way inside. She described the incident as deliberate and frightening, and said surveillance images and security reports supported her account. The filing says Applegate was arrested that day, then returned to the area on two more occasions, including one instance in which police were called again. A judge has ordered him to stay at least 100 yards away from Carpenter, her home, car, workplace, and family members who live with her. A later court hearing is scheduled for June 17, with a criminal court date set for June 18.
