Man dies after being struck by vehicle following fight in North York
Toronto homicide probe after North York fight turns deadly near Keele and Wilson Witnesses and dashcam footage could help police piece together what happened
Toronto police are investigating a homicide after a man died early Sunday morning in North York, following a large fight near Keele Street and Wilson Avenue.
Police said officers were called around 6 a.m. after reports of a group fight. At the scene, they found a person who had been struck by a vehicle. The man was later pronounced dead, and another person was taken to hospital with nonlifethreatening injuries.
Investigators said the confrontation began after an argument and involved more than one person. A lightcoloured vehicle was seen leaving the area, and police are asking witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward. They said there is no wider public safety threat and that the incident appears to be localized.
