Toronto police say a 44yearold man has been charged with seconddegree murder in the shooting death of Isaiah Peters Alexander, 28. Police said Alexander was found unresponsive in a laneway near Eglinton Avenue West and Yarrow Road, close to Keele Street, in the early hours of Friday, June 19. Paramedics took him to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Investigators initially treated the death as suspicious before ruling it a homicide. Police said the arrest was made Tuesday, and the accused was scheduled to appear in court the same day.
