BC roadside attractions: vote for Vancouver Island’s top summer pick Choose from 8 finalists now, and help send your favorite to the final four
CBC News is inviting readers to vote in a summer bracket to choose British Columbia’s best roadside attraction, starting with the Vancouver Island region.
The contest includes 32 finalists selected from more than 300 nominations and is divided into four regions: Vancouver Island, Southwest B.C., the Interior and the North. This week’s firstround matchup features eight Vancouver Island entries, including sites such as the world’s largest burl in Port McNeill and the Mile Zero display in Victoria.
Voting for the Vancouver Island round is open until 8 p.m. PT on Monday. The regional winners will advance to a final four later in August, with the overall winner set to be announced before Labour Day.
