Midjourney unveils full-body scanner with spa plans
Midjourney body scanner maps you in 60 seconds with MRI-like detail See how underwater ultrasound and spa sites could reshape health scans
Midjourney has announced a new medical hardware project built around a fullbody scanner that uses underwater ultrasound sensors to create body maps in about 60 seconds.
The company says the scanner lowers a user through a waterfilled ring and is being developed with Butterfly Network, an ultrasoundchip maker. Midjourney founder David Holz says the device is intended to deliver MRIlike detail much faster, though the system still needs to prove itself.
Midjourney also says it plans to launch dedicated spa locations starting in 2027, beginning with San Francisco’s Union Square. The planned sites would combine the scanners with amenities such as saunas, cold plunges, and hot tubs.
