Two people were arrested and two others are being sought after a group was seen climbing the JacquesCartier Bridge in Montreal on Saturday morning, according to Quebec provincial police.
The incident prompted a police operation and caused traffic disruptions as the bridge was temporarily blocked. Police said the first report came in around 6:45 a.m., and traffic returned to normal by about 10 a.m.
The Sûreté du Québec said its investigation is continuing to determine the climbers’ motives and confirm that the bridge is safe for users.
