E-scooter crash in North Vancouver left a 12-year-old with minor injuries See what police say about local rules, tickets, and family safety
A 12yearold was taken to hospital with minor injuries after an escooter crash in North Vancouver on Wednesday evening, police said.
RCMP said the child was riding on Colwood Drive around 5 p.m. when the scooter struck a black Volkswagen Jetta pulling out of a driveway in the 3100 block of the street.
Police later issued violation tickets to the child’s guardian for allowing someone under 16 to operate an escooter. North Vancouver RCMP said the case is part of its broader effort to educate families about local escooter rules and to enforce safety regulations.
