Montreal Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki has won the Frank J. Selke Trophy, and teammate Cole Caufield has received the Lady Byng Trophy, the NHL announced Friday.
The Selke Trophy goes to the league’s top defensive forward, while the Lady Byng Trophy recognizes a player who combines sportsmanship with strong play. Suzuki earned the award after a careerhigh season and strong twoway performance, while Caufield finished with 51 goals and only seven minor penalties.
