Police seize explosives and weapons at B.C. drug lab site
BC illegal drug lab bust uncovered guns, explosives and weapons in Abbotsford Surrey and Enderby raid details show why police say the case is far from over
British Columbia police say they uncovered a large illegal drugproduction operation that was still under construction when investigators moved in. The search turned up drugs, firearms and commercial explosives at locations in Abbotsford, Surrey and Enderby.
RCMP Sgt. Sarbjit Sangha said the explosives were especially concerning because they are tightly controlled in Canada and not meant for public possession. Police also found privately made prohibited weapons, suppressors and highcapacity magazines.
Investigators say the lab had not yet started producing drugs. Four people were arrested and later released while the case continues, and police say possible charges include firearms and drugproduction offences.
