Haggerty receives two-game suspension from CFL
CFL suspends Josh Haggerty after violent B.C.-Montreal altercation See who else was fined and how Liam Talbot's injury could affect Montreal
The CFL has suspended B.C. Lions defensive back Josh Haggerty for two games after an onfield incident involving Montreal Alouettes running back Liam Talbot.
Montreal defensive back Don Callis and B.C. Lions defensive back Ronald Kent Jr. each received onegame suspensions for their roles in the altercation during B.C.'s 4829 win over Montreal on Saturday night.
Talbot, who is from London, Ont., suffered a groin injury after being struck twice and later required surgery. Montreal placed him on the sixgame injury list, and he is expected to miss the rest of the season. The report said the incident escalated after a disputed play in the third quarter and led to multiple unnecessary roughness penalties.
