Turkish authorities detained more than 200 people in a raid in Ankara ahead of a July NATO summit, according to reports cited by the Associated Press.
The operation followed detention orders for 241 suspects, and officials said 209 people were taken into custody. Among them, 56 were alleged ISIS members. Authorities also said 35 others were linked to a leftwing armed group.
The sweep comes as Turkey prepares to host the July 78 summit, which President Donald Trump is expected to attend. The arrests highlight continuing counterterrorism efforts in the country and the wider region.
