UAP whistleblower says secret spending may be hidden from Congress
UAP funding claims raise oversight concerns as David Grusch urges Congress to probe Capitol Hill lawmakers seek records and testimony in the push for declassification
Former intelligence officer David Grusch said intelligence agencies may be concealing billions of dollars in spending tied to unidentified aerial phenomena programs from Congress, during a Capitol Hill event on Tuesday.
Grusch, who previously served on the Pentagon’s UAP Task Force and as the National Reconnaissance Office’s representative to the group, said the alleged funding operated outside normal oversight channels. He urged the Defense Intelligence Agency to release records for congressional review and declassification.
Lawmakers at the event said they want more documents and testimony as part of a broader push to declassify UAP records. The Pentagon has said previous reviews have not found verified evidence of extraterrestrial technology, and no evidence was presented at the event to support the claims about nonhuman intelligence.
