Lido completes wind-down of Simple DVT module
Lido Simple DVT wind-down marks a major staking infrastructure shift for node operators See what the transition means for stETH holders and distributed validator support
Lido has completed the winddown of the regular clusters in its Simple DVT module, according to a September 18 update on its governance forum. The change follows an earlier DAO vote that approved retiring the module’s regular cluster setup.
Simple DVT was designed to bring distributed validator technology into Lido’s staking system and reduce reliance on any single operator. The model splits validator duties across multiple participants, which can lower operational risk and support a more distributed network structure.
The shutdown reflects an infrastructure transition rather than an end to distributed validators within Lido. The first tranche of transition grants, equal to 0.175 stETH per eligible participant, has already been distributed to qualifying node operators. For stETH holders, the update does not require any immediate action.
