RCMP officers searched a residence in MontrealNord on Thursday as part of an investigation into a suspected human smuggling network.
Police said one suspected smuggler and one migrant were arrested during the operation. Authorities did not say what charges, if any, may follow.
Investigators believe the home was used to house migrants either after they were brought into Canada from the United States or before they crossed south of the border. The case remains under investigation.
