Final witnesses expected in trial of Montreal man accused of killing daughter in New York

The prosecution is set to call its last witnesses in the trial of Luciano Frattolin, a Montreal man charged in the death of his nineyearold daughter, Melina Frattolin, during a trip to New York last summer.
Frattolin, 46, has pleaded not guilty to seconddegree murder and concealment of a human corpse and has remained in custody since his arrest in July 2025.
The trial began two weeks ago. On Tuesday, a forensic scientist with the New York State Police testified about blood traces found on the jacket the girl was wearing when she died, though she did not identify whose blood it was.
