Rob Cerjanec drops out of Ontario Liberal leadership race

Ontario Liberal MPP Rob Cerjanec has suspended his campaign for the party’s leadership after discussing the decision with family, supporters and colleagues. Cerjanec represents Ajax in the provincial legislature. His exit leaves four candidates still in the race: Lee Fairclough, Navdeep Bains, Eric Lombardi and Dylan Marando. Party members are scheduled to vote online from Nov. 9 to Nov. 20, with the new leader set to be announced on Nov. 21. The winner will replace Bonnie Crombie, who stepped down earlier this year after receiving limited support at the party’s annual general meeting in the fall.
