Kalshi expands international reach through Alpaca partnership
Kalshi partnership expands event contracts to more global brokerage users See how Alpaca could speed overseas access, pending local regulatory approval
Prediction market platform Kalshi is partnering with brokerage and financial infrastructure startup Alpaca to make its event contracts available to more users outside the United States, subject to local regulatory approval.
Under the arrangement, brokerages that use Alpaca's technology will be able to connect to Kalshi's contracts on the same infrastructure they use for other financial assets. Alpaca said the move reflects client demand for access to eventbased products.
Kalshi said the partnership could help it move faster into overseas markets because Alpaca already works with more than 300 financial institutions and serves about 14 million brokerage accounts globally. The company has also been expanding internationally through other partnerships, including one announced in June with Canadian firm Wealthsimple.
