Meta shares post best month since 2022 on AI momentum
Meta stock jumps 27% on AI momentum and Muse's breakout launch See how investors are betting on Meta's consumer edge in the AI agent race
Meta’s stock rose 27% in September, marking its strongest monthly gain since 2022 as investors responded positively to the company’s progress in artificial intelligence.
The rally came after the Sept. 8 launch of Muse, Meta’s personal AI agent app, which briefly outperformed OpenAI’s ChatGPT in Apple’s iOS download rankings. The company also used its annual Connect conference to highlight Muse as a key part of its product strategy and introduced new hardware tied to the service.
Analysts and investors are watching whether Meta can turn its consumer apps and data advantages into a larger business in the growing AI agent market. The stock’s gains outpaced other largecap tech names and the Nasdaq over the same period.
