Metrolinx says some GO Transit trains are delayed or cancelled as high temperatures slow service across the network.
According to the agency, trains are running about 10 to 15 minutes behind schedule because they are moving at reduced speeds in the heat. Metrolinx also said it is carrying out extra track patrols to inspect rails for weatherrelated issues.
Several trips were cancelled Wednesday afternoon, including a Lakeshore East train to Union Station and two Kitchener line trains. Some Lakeshore East service was also adjusted to stop at Pickering GO because of track conditions, with passengers advised to wait for later trains if they need to travel beyond that station.
