Preply uses AI to personalize language learning
Preply Lesson Insights personalizes language learning with AI and human tutors See tailored grammar, pronunciation, and homework feedback after each class
Preply is using OpenAI technology to make language lessons more personalized while keeping human tutors at the center of the experience. The online languagelearning marketplace says its AI feature, Lesson Insights, reviews lesson transcripts after each class and creates tailored feedback on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and next steps.
The company says the tool helps students see progress more clearly and reduces time tutors spend on administrative work. With learner consent, lessons are recorded and transcribed in the Preply Classroom, and a summary is delivered shortly after the session ends. Those insights also feed into personalized homework and practice exercises.
Preply says it chose OpenAI after testing several models and now uses ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex across the business. The company reports high internal adoption, as well as strong usage of Lesson Insights among learners and tutors. Preply says the goal is not to replace teachers, but to combine human guidance with AI support to improve learning and operational efficiency.
