Family seeks justice after Toronto man’s fatal shooting leads to eight arrests

Toronto police have arrested eight men in connection with the fatal shooting of 28yearold Anthony Taylor at an Etobicoke apartment building on May 31. The suspects, who are between 23 and 35 years old, face seconddegree murder charges and other allegations. Police said the killing was not believed to be random, but they have not released details about the relationship between Taylor and the first suspect arrested. Seven additional suspects were later identified, and all were arrested by June 12 after Canadawide warrants were issued. Taylor’s family says he was at the building helping a friend move when the confrontation happened. Relatives remember him as a devoted older brother, a youth counsellor, and someone who hoped to study culinary arts. They say they now want accountability as they grieve his death.
