Pedestrian hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after Toronto collision

A woman in her 30s was taken to hospital with lifethreatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle in Toronto’s east end on Monday morning.
Toronto police said the crash happened shortly after 6 a.m. at Carlaw Avenue and Commissioners Street. Paramedics said they rushed the woman to hospital, and the driver stayed at the scene.
Road closures were put in place in the area as officers responded to the collision.
