Simple Plan to release children's book 'I'm Just a Kid'

Canadian rock band Simple Plan will release a new picture book, I'm Just a Kid, on March 9, 2027. The book takes its title from the band's popular song of the same name. The story follows the group's early days, beginning with a school talent show and focusing on friendship, persistence and the band's path to success. It is illustrated by Filipino artist Jomike Tejido. The release also marks the 25th anniversary of Simple Plan's first album, No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls!. The band said the project is meant to connect with longtime fans, many of whom are now parents. A portion of sales will support the Simple Plan Foundation, which helps charities serving young people in need.
