Kamloops, B.C., officials are asking residents for information after two pit bulltype dogs attacked a local business owner on Wednesday afternoon.
Eric Dean, the CEO of Kamloops Precision Machining, said he was walking on a riverside trail near his workplace in the Valleyview area when one dog ran from the bushes and bit his arm. He said a second dog then attacked his thigh before the owners came out and tried to chase the animals away.
Dean was taken to Royal Inland Hospital, where he received multiple stitches, antibiotics and a tetanus shot. He also said the attack caused nerve damage and left injuries to both hands.
City staff said community safety officers checked the area shortly after the incident but were unable to locate the dogs or their owners. Officials are asking anyone who saw the attack or has information about the animals to contact the city.
