Toronto FIFA watch parties cancelled over poor air quality

Toronto World Cup watch parties are canceled as wildfire smoke hits air quality See refund details and stay updated on safer ways to follow FIFA action

Several World Cup watch parties in Toronto, including FIFA Fan Festival at Nathan Phillips Square, have been cancelled because of an orangelevel air quality warning. Environment Canada warned that heavy smoke from forest fires in northwestern Ontario has reduced visibility and created unhealthy conditions across much of southern Ontario. The agency advised people to reschedule or cancel outdoor activities and to limit time outside. The Toronto FIFA 2026 team said premium ticket holders would be contacted about refunds, and the City of Toronto said the broadcast was cancelled to protect the health of attendees, staff, volunteers, and emergency personnel.
