Quebec provincial police have ended their search for Pepito Jr. Labador, a 45yearold Montreal man who fell into the St. Lawrence River near Marsoui in the Gaspé region on July 17. Police said Labador went missing while fishing with another man in his 30s. One man slipped into the water first, and the other tried to help but was also carried away by the current. The body of the younger man was found later that morning. The Sûreté du Québec said the search for Labador has now been suspended, though the investigation is continuing. Authorities said they could resume the search if new information justifies it.
