Canada Post warns of mail delays near Toronto World Cup sites

Canada Post mail delays in Toronto may affect residents near FIFA event areas Check affected postal codes and service changes to avoid missed deliveries

Canada Post says residents and businesses near FIFA World Cup event areas in Toronto may face temporary mail delays and service changes during the tournament. The postal service said it will remove some street mailboxes and adjust operations around the FIFA Fan Festival at Fort York and matches at Exhibition Place from June 11 to July 19. Affected postal codes include areas beginning with M6K, M6J and M5V. Canada Post said it will try to deliver mail on match days, but some delivery may be postponed until the next business day. It also said there will be no commercial pickups in the impacted zones, and some nearby post offices may experience slower processing because of heavier traffic and road closures. The company is directing customers to its website for updates on service interruptions.
