Quebec’s main party leaders will meet Wednesday evening for the third and final televised debate of the campaign, with less than two weeks left before election day. The Parti Québécois remains ahead in the latest Léger poll, which puts it at 29 per cent of voter support. The Quebec Liberals follow at 23 per cent, the Coalition Avenir Québec at 20 per cent, the Conservative Party of Quebec at 17 per cent, and Québec Solidaire at 10 per cent. The twohour debate, hosted by Patrice Roy on RadioCanada, will focus on Quebec’s future, economic insecurity, the budget crunch, family policy and health care. CBC plans live online coverage with analysis and factchecking. Advance voting begins this week, and the provincial election is scheduled for Oct. 5.
