New REM stations in Griffintown and Bridge-Bonaventure could open by 2030

CDPQ Infra has started planning for two new REM stations in Montreal’s Griffintown and BridgeBonaventure areas, with a target completion date of 2030. The company said construction could begin in 2028, after environmental studies and procurement work are completed during the planning phase. The project includes the GriffintownBernardLandry station and a new station in BridgeBonaventure, which the city has linked to future housing development in the area. CDPQ Infra said building the two stations at the same time should be more efficient than doing them one after the other, given their close proximity and the complexity of the work near active rail infrastructure. The final cost and schedule will be set in the coming months.
