Trump highlights clear Reflecting Pool and seeks arrest in vandalism case
Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool cleanup restores clear water in Washington, D.C. See how nanobubbler tech and park crews revived the landmark after vandalism.
President Donald Trump said the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool is clear again after cleanup work in Washington, D.C., and he shared photos on Truth Social showing the water reflecting the Washington Monument.
The Interior Department said the restoration used advanced nanobubbler technology along with National Park Service cleanup efforts to remove algae from the pool. Officials said the work is continuing and that the pool may not need to be fully drained.
Trump also called for the arrest of a suspect tied to vandalism at the site. Interior Secretary Doug Burgum said the damage included long gashes in the pool and that repairs should be possible in the coming weeks.
