OKX raises fresh capital at $25 billion valuation

OKX raises funding at a $25B valuation, expanding its crypto platform global reach. Backed by Ripple and Circle, it aims to blend crypto with traditional finance.

Crypto exchange OKX has raised an undisclosed amount in new funding at a $25 billion valuation, extending a round first announced in March. The latest investment included support from existing backers and partners such as SC Ventures, Qube Research & Technologies, Ripple, and Circle, according to OKX. The company did not disclose how much capital it received. OKX said the funding will support its plan to develop into a broader global financial technology platform that combines crypto services with standards used by traditional financial institutions. The announcement came as OKX and the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange also moved ahead with a joint plan to launch a tokenized stock trading platform in the United States.
