Google and Designers Co-create Fashion Tools for New York Fashion Week
Google Flow for Fashion Designers streamlines styling and show planning with AI See how custom tools helped Jane Wade and Sergio Hudson save time and protect creative control
Google’s Envisioning Studio worked with fashion designers Jane Wade and Sergio Hudson to build custom tools in Google Flow ahead of New York Fashion Week. The goal was to make it easier for designers to manage styling and production tasks while keeping creative control.
Wade used a tool called Styling Suite to assemble complete looks on digital models, including hair, makeup, accessories, shoes, and garments, before making physical samples. This helped her spot gaps in outfits and refine designs earlier in the process.
Hudson used Runway Visualization to plan his show setup on a limited budget. The tool let him test different lighting, props, venue layouts, and model walk paths without repeated costly revisions. Google says the project shows how AI can support fashion workflows when built around designers’ existing needs.
